I wish I knew about this when I was in high school. I’m 22 now and now that i think about it my teens would have been much more different. But either way, what’s done is done and time to make changes now.
Thank you to everyone who is experiencing positive results from abstaining from PMO and sharing their stories. It’s great that we are all here with something in common and trying to improve our lives by abstaining from PMO.
Slight background of myself, started watching porn when I was about 13, was Into it consistently for years, and the crazy thing was that I thought it was normal, I thought that I was normal.
I never thought that my other life issues were maybe caused by PMO, then I found this sub Reddit about 4-5 months ago.
I failed numerous times either it was a long week streak or just a few days, my best streak was 21 days and regret relapsing.
So now im back on track and I think im on day 10(I haven’t been counting days, I just live my life each day)
So some positive results ive been experiancing.
- Eye contact, lots of it more with women now then ever before.
- Diet naturally shifted( I steered away from garbage and constantly seeking healthier foods, in my case raw veggies)
- Lost interest in alcohol(not sure if it’s related to NoFap but im not seeking it anymore, I just drink water primarily)
- Hitting the gym 6-7 days a week, found a routine online and doing it. Simple as that.
- Less sleep, alright so before NoFap id sleep a crap ton at least 8 hours up to 10 hours. Now I get about 5-6 hours of good sleep, for example I go to bed around 11pm-12am, I’d wake up at 4:30am-5am awake as fuck. No tiredness or anything. I just get up, change and head to the gym.
- Body pain just vanished, I work a third shift job(supermarket) and I have no issues at all, when id be jerking it id notice issues in my knees and back, but not anymore.
- Stronger and faster recovery.( related to point 4-5) I feel that my body is recovering faster then ever before.On Saturday I went to the gym at 4am, wide awake, energy out the ass, I do a 30min brisk walk on the treadmill, do my routine then fo back on the tread and do HIIT for like another 30minutes. I was killing it like wtf, anyways when I get home, I didn’t feel tired at all, I felt freaking awesome actually, ive never experienced anything like it before…I just felt great.
I am virgin so I cant say if I could perform in the heat of the moment, but ive been noticing that I couldn’t get hard, but a soft hard if that makes sense?
Well I think fapping played a negative part in attracting women, I was always tired(even my parents noticed it). I pretty much didn’t really give a shit about myself. I drank a lot, didn’t work out when I should have been, ate food id pick up at a local WaWa etc.
I now have stopped drinking alcohol, go to the gym almost everyday, cook at home etc. I was hoping to get in shape with a few friends(we all have memberships at the same gym) but they go out and drink most of the time. This is when I said to myself: “Fuck it, im not waiting for them anymore I got shit to do” so now i go to the gym on my own, I make it an effort to improve on every work out even if it’s an extra rep, it’s still progress.
Well that is pretty much it so far, ill come back sometime in the coming weeks with an update.
