NURSERY nurse Frankie Hampson, from Manchester, blames her obsession with porn for wrecking her relationships. She says:
“I’ve been addicted to porn for ten years now.
“I blame the internet for feeding this addiction.
“When I was 16 I was sexually awakening, and it was too easy to go online and find virtually anything I wanted to look at.
“Like every young girl, I was intrigued by sex. I was a virgin and I wanted to know all about it. Porn gave me a buzz and an urge to find out more.
“That buzz has never gone — it’s taken over my life.
“I watch porn on an almost daily basis. I watch it on websites or satellite TV channels.
“It’s an escape from the stresses of daily life. But I’ve scared away at least three boyfriends because of it.
“Three years ago I went to Sex Addicts Anonymous as I thought I was a sex maniac — but I discovered it was the porn I was addicted to.
“The therapy didn’t really help me, it just made me realise where the addiction lay.
“I get off on seeing porn scenes and re-enacting them with boyfriends. But whenever I have sex without copying a porn scene it just isn’t as good.
“One boyfriend just couldn’t cope with me taking the lead in the bedroom, he couldn’t perform physically and, in the end, he left.
“I’m single at the moment so I watch porn alone. I can sit for hours watching it and I never get bored. But as soon as I get a boyfriend things change for the worse. Whenever we’re alone I have the urge to put on some porn and re-enact it.
“I’ve had about six or seven boyfriends. Some of them loved the porn aspect of my life but three found it too much and walked away.
“When I’m with a man the sex and the porn would start at about seven in the evening and last into the night.
“I’ve gone whole weekends just watching porn and having sex.
“Many don’t have the stamina to keep up with me, so once the relationship is established they’ll start saying no to sex.
“This means I’ll go off and watch porn on my own, which leads to rows because they don’t want me doing that and we split.
“Sometimes I do wonder if there is more to life, and it can get me down.
“I don’t seem to have any hobbies apart from this. It scares boys away and I would like a boyfriend.
“The biggest downside is it’s anti-social.
“Sometimes when friends text me asking if I want to go out I’ll tell them I’m busy, when really I’m watching porn.
“It has taken over my life.”
