ABSTRACT
[Translated from Indonesian] The aim of this research is to know the correlation between the attitude of using pornography and risky sexual behavior in the late adolescent. The issue of sexual behavior in adolescents has become a national threat to date, so efforts to find the underlying factors need to be done in prevention efforts. Risk sexual behavior is any behavior that can increase the risk of transmission of sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies (Kirby & Lepore, 2007). Increased frequency and behavior of compulsive use of pornography is considered to be one factor that can increase the occurrence of risky sexual behavior. The use of sexual explicit materials has been investigated to influence the increase in risky sexual behavior. The study was conducted in late adolescents in the age range 15-19 years with a total of 99 subjects, consisting of 68 men and 31 women. Measuring tool Problematic Pornography Use Scale developed by Kor, et al. (2014) was used to measure the attitude of pornography and the Sexual Risk Scale developed by Turchik & Garske (2009) was used to measure risky sexual behavior. Data analysis was performed using Spearman’s Rho correlation technique using IBM SPSS 22.0 for Windows. The results of data analysis showed that there is a relationship between the attitude of the use of pornography with risky sexual behavior in adolescents. Significant value of 0,000 with correlation coefficient of 0.458. The value of the correlation is positive, the higher the value of the attitude of the use of pornography then the higher the risk to engage in risky sexual behavior.
